Update

So its been a few days with no post but nothing exciting has been going on. I've been fighting a cold and really haven't had the energy to do/say anything. So for and update of the week: On Tuesday we had our Breastfeeding with Ease class. Very interesting stuff. I don't really think the class needed to be 3 hours long though as there is only so much you can pretend to do with a 9 month pregnant belly and a fake baby (granted- most of the other ladies hadn't waited as long as I had but at least one other lady had trouble holding her baby over her stomach). The teacher was a bit of a wacko as well for many different reasons. Turns out she is an extended breastfeeder. Or in her words- she breastfeeds well past what is considered "normal". Nothing against the individual but the concept is disgusting to me. Its one thing to breast feed until a baby is 1 or 2. Its another thing to breast feed beyond that- and its really an issue with me to breastfeed to the ripe age of 5, 6 or 8. I think breast feeding should end once baby is eating solid foods and or would be off the bottle also. I mean- c'mon, you don't bottle feed a 5 year old so why breast feed them?! Yes I know, all the extra vitamins and benefits and blah blah blah. Children that age should be drinking from sippy cups or real cups. Pump into one of those and that way everybody wins. But enough about that- the class was informative- I don't agree with some of the concepts but whatever. I DID learn that there is actually a law to protect working mothers that breastfeed that states that the employer must provide adequate time a space for the mother to pump and the space provided must NOT be a toilet stall. Good to know cause goodness knows my employer would have me pumping in the bathroom.
MOVING on now. I had another doctors appointment today! Woohoo! Still nothing TO exciting. I'm still measuring ahead, and baby is running out of room but still passing her non stress tests. I scheduled my next (and last!) growth ultrasound for next Tuesday so we can find out how this baby will come out to meet the world and how big she will be when she does so. I have another appointment next week with the doctor and at that point we will schedule the induction or c section for 39 weeks. What we schedule depends on what the ultrasound says about her size. The good news is that if she decides to come after next Friday and before the scheduled date then I will be able to just go into labor as we will finally have reached the full term mark! That is so exciting I can barely contain myself. To know that by Friday, February 13th she will be on her way here.....eeeeee!!!! Ps- I'm kinda excited that her birthday could be Friday the 13th. I'm not the superstitious type, and I like Friday the 13ths. Me and Chris's wedding date was on the 13th. The only not exciting thing about Friday the 13th is that its still 3 weeks away, haha! But oh well- I'm just excited all around. My mom took me shopping Monday night to buy all the last bits of stuff you need when you bring a baby home- namely her carseat. Yesterday I went through and put everything away and cleaned up the nursery and got it all cute. I have just a few finishing touches and then it'll be all finished! Of course once its done I'll post pictures. I also packed our hospital bag which was fun. I feel like I over packed but I need to plan on being there for 3 days if I end up with a c section (either planned or unplanned). So she is pretty much all set to come any day. I don't have her bassinet yet but my Aunt got us a pack n play for the shower so she could always sleep in the for now. It would make the bedroom more than a little cramped but it would work until the bassinet got there....Ok. I'm just rambling now. I'll try to post more often, my pregnancy tip of the day said to make sure I keep in touch and available for everyone so nobody worries about me so I'll try and at least post a little something on here!
