Good little Housewifey...

I have been feeling very domestic this week. In the past I would try to make up a menu and and plan, plan, plan. I love lists. I got to stressed out by my menu making though and it fell apart. Now I think maybe 2 days at a time. However this week, everything kind of feel together without very much planning at all, which is quite amazing, as I wasn't even planning to plan a week of meals. But tada, its done. I'm impressed. We had shrimp scampi and garlic bread one night (those meal in a bag kits are amazing) The next night we had breakfast for dinner (pancakes, bacon and eggs) Chris took his took work that night so I made little silver dollar pancakes for him. Both those days I think I had sandwiches for lunch. Chris only eats breakfast and dinner so no lunches for him. Then yesterday I made chuck roast with veggies. It was so nice to let it cook all day while I was at work and come home and know that I didn't have to worry about dinner that night- in fact I actually squeezed in a nap instead. Today I had leftovers for lunch and now there is still a huge hunk of meat left so I'm going to take a stab at beef and noodles because I also have a lot of the juice left. I also have plans for spaghetti this week with my Cheaters sauce (its amazing what you can do to a can of Ragu...) hopefully there will be enough sauce left to freeze... What else. Hmmm- Oh I've got some sausage recipe to try from a friends mom. I think technically its an appetizer but whatever, its dang good so anything can be supper in my opinion. Oh, tonight we are having french bread pizza which is a "recipe" I stole from Angel. Nothing easier than slicing a loaf of Italian bread in half and topping with pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni's. Plus one loaf is enough for two meals for me and Christopher so it to will go into the freezer for a later date- hopefully I can trust him to make that by himself once baby gets here....It been nice because most of these recipes are for a family of four which means there is plenty to eat on for a few days and/or freeze. So far in the freezer I only have meatloaf, but I'm hoping to really stretch those beef and noodles and put those in too. Along with this I have been keeping up with "Operation clean house for baby", sort of anyways. I completely blew the list off today because I have been super tired. I'm only really "functioning" now if you can call it that. All I've managed to do is shower and run to the bank and make my car payment (in my pjs no less- who cares if you don't have to get out right?)
