Debt Free
We're almost there! If you are close and personal you may think I was already debt free after a situation occurred last year. But that situation didn't take care of everything and do we were still left with some bills that we had fallen behind on and then hospital bills, doctors bills, and lastly, "canceled contacts" bills for contracts we broke early (saved money in the long run). But, now with our tax check we are going to be able to pay ALL of that off and be left with nothing to worry about except our mortgage, car payments, and the normal monthly household bills. Plus we still have a little over half of our return left to purchase some fun things we've been holding out on buying until we could pay in cash. Like my new camera!!!! I'm so excited about this little thing. It seems to take super awesome pictures. I haven't uploaded the new software on to my computer yet but as soon as I do (or get Christopher to) I'll post some new pictures of Sophia. On Saturday we treated ourselves to a shopping spree and I have to say, considering how much we COULD have spent, we actually stayed really reasonable in our "shopping spree" (which I know, to some people, was just a little over their pocket change. But that's big money to us). I'm also pumped because we still have plenty left over to start a savings account. Oh, AND I got our monthly budget updated so it would appear that we'll be able to sock back a fair amount every month. For us- this is basically amazing stuff. I thought I'd never see this day!

Congrats, That's awesome! We have paused our goal of being debt free until we have the 10% down we want on our house. But, my student loans kick in soon so that will be extra we havent had to pay for lately, but hoping I can have them paid off with in 6 mos of socking it back!
