Mud Puddles

We have been having such a BLAST out here in the country. Seriously. I'm exhausted every night because Sophia is either outside all day or whining to GO outside! I usually spend a good few hours chasing her around trying to get her to stay close to the house and then once I get her to stay I'm spending time chasing the dogs off! But today we uncovered a pathway off our back patio. It must have been covered up with gravel they meant to lay down but never did. At any rate, Sophia was having fun helping me dig out the sidewalk and she was soooooo dirty. She was so dirty that any water/juice/slobber that landed on her immediately created a mud puddle in that spot on her body. Gross but cute. She's loving the outdoors time and will happily sit digging in the dirt for at least a half hour-which in toddler land, sitting still for that long is beyond amazing.
She also likes to "help" us take the card board boxes back to the fire pit though she spends a lot of the walk falling down in the tall grass. All this outside time leaves little time for me to get the house unpacked but we are slowly trucking along. Some things are pushed to the side because we don't have a washer/dryer/kitchen sink/shower/bathroom vanity/closet rods. Ok, so a lot of things are pushed to the side. Thank goodness my mom lives exactly 2 tenths of a mile down the road (yes, I measured it) so pretty much everyday I'm hauling laundry/dirty dishes/showering supplies to her house. Our shower should be fixed this weekend and hopefully the kitchen sink will follow soon. Who knows about the washer and dryer because there aren't any hookups. I'll admit its annoying and extra stinky to take dirty diapers to wash at my moms. I'm not washing those every night anymore because its to much of a hassle and takes more time than I have to just sit down there doing nothing. So I've been washing them every other day and those older diapers are pheewwwwwy-stinky!
Ok, enough babbling. I haven't taken any pictures because I've been so happy to have a safe place to play outside that I don't even think of grabbing the camera. Need to get better about that one! Well, I'm off to do some more internet power surfing before I need to go to bed! Bye!
