Cereal

I was recently provided with some coupons from General Mills through MyBlogSpark. I'm not much of a cereal person but along with the coupons General Mills provided some information that made me more inclined to go eat some cereal. Most importantly, did you know that General Mills has committed to reduce the sugar in their cereals marketed towards children under the age of 12 to single digit grams per serving? True story.
Everyone knows that if you eat breakfast you gain all kinds of benefits but did you know that cereal eaters consume less fat and cholesterol and more fiber than non-cereal eaters? Also, frequent cereal eaters tend to have healthier body weights and lower Body Mass Index measures. And if you have a child anything like mine, one who would consume box upon box of Cheerios if you allowed them, take peace in this fact: Ready-to-eat cereal is the #1 source of whole grains in a child's diet. You are not alone!
So get up tomorrow morning and go get yourself some General Mills cereal, like my personal favorite- Lucky Charms!
