Monkey see, Monkey move

And so it begins- the moving. As you saw in my last post, she is getting pretty good at scooting. Well not she is starting to lift herself up off the floor! It only last maybe 2 seconds, but if we put her in that position she can hold it for several seconds. Let the baby proofing begin!

She managed to shimmy all the way from the bottom of her crib to the top end. She was mesmerized by the green light on her monitor so she zeroed in on it and used it as a chew toy. It mad a lot of noise on my end, just saying. So its time to move that out of the way too.

The really neat thing that Sophia is doing now, is learning in a very obvious way. She like to mimic people. You stick out her tongue, she does the same. You slap the table- so does she. And when you do hand motions like wave or snap you can see her very tentatively doing the same thing while watching you. My favorite is snapping she'll very gently move her thumb across the tips of her fingers over and over trying to learn that skill. Its quite neat to watch and I can't wait until she really snaps!
