2 months:
Weight: 12 lbs 4 oz
Length: 23.25 inches
Current (4 months):
Weight: 13 lbs 11 oz (50th percentile)
Length: 25.5 inches (90th percentile)
She is for sure our little string bean! The doctor ok'ed starting her on solids. We told him already had several weeks ago and he said that was fine, that typically at this age the child would be in the 90th percentile for both weight and length before he recommended it but that since she was so long and is no longer sleeping through the night to go ahead and continue on the solid food path. Next up- PEAS!
Now- the shots. Again, they were miserable to have to watch her go through. She initially cried a lot longer at the office but we got her calmed down soon enough. We haven't had the crying episode tonight like we did last time thankfully. I've narrowed it down to one of two things as to why we didn't have the crying episode again. First, I remember/knew to give her tylenol before the shots. Secondly, and I'm leaning toward this as the culprit, she recieved one less shot than last time. Thinking back on it- she recieved this same shot (Hepatitis B) right before we brought her home and had a crying episode then (that we didn't recognize- I just thought it was the transition). Then she had an episode at the last doctors appointment when she recieved this shot but this time she has been fine and she didn't recieve that shot.... Either way- its done and I don't have to worry about it for another 2 months. When she is 6 months old. Man.
