Sophia has a mohawk. She does. All her hair grew in longer on top than it did anywhere else on her head. Poor thing. On our vacation in June I really played it up too. Nothing is cuter than a baby with a mohawk, right? I even have proof- see exhibit A.
Exhibit A)

Anyways, so eventually, mohawks grow out into something sort of crazy. And then, after enough time has passed, you child can't see to find her mouth anymore. Again, see below for proof. Please note, her hair is brushed out of her face in this photo.

I've said all along that I wasn't going to cut her hair until after her first birthday, and used bows as often as possible to hold her bangs back, but as I mentioned, her hair is only long on the top of her head. So the bows wouldn't hold for long, the hairs would escape and my baby was blind again, only this time with a pretty pink bow on her head. Sooooo, I took the plunge. I trimmed her teensy little hairs. I only took off about 1/4 of an inch, but it made a huge difference. I've saved the clippings because I'm still debating whether or not I'll keep them as her "first haircut" trimmings. I don't think I will though. Not until I have something more substantial. Which will be awhile, because I'm not cutting her hair until she can sit on it!

Awww! Look at those pretty eyes! See she is confused because she can see now!

Awww! Too cute! C.J. has the same problem! He too has the mohawk (and tiny little side burns hehe) and Chris keeps saying we need to cut his hair, but I just can't do it just yet... we shall see, I might have to... hopefully his curls kick in more here soon and pull it up away from his face! LOL
